Walking around and talking… thinking about the political events that have transpired over the past few months have given me reason for a pause… and try to honestly perceive and then reflect on the magnitude of change.

Many will call upon these times as being some of the most telling of where America is headed. Others will see what can only be described as the natural progression towards a more socialist society. And my only concern is that our elected president appears to be more of a snake oil salesman than a leader.

All around the world Americas might and strength is being tested. From third world toilets to super powers, and the current administration wrings their hands and apologizes for our abundance and success.

Americas independence was built on an enduring strength of God given rights, fueled by liberty and the freedoms guaranteed by restless souls of a society fighting for those ideals of a truly free nation.

Independence Day is that one day where we should take a moment to try to remember those ‘Full Measures of Devotion’ that have been given… If no, then crack another cold one and throw a steak on the BBQ for me too.
