One of the values I have tried to instill in my children from the very beginning is that you are judged by the company you keep. It is something that I firmly believe and will not back away from. It is with hope that this value will transcend the oppression brought on by peer pressure and cause them to make good decisions even when others are not watching. It is this rudimentary principle coupled with what has come to light in the past few days about Barak Obama and his friends that has me questioning Barack Obamas motives when choosing and cultivating friendships. 

It has been said -only so we can find some logical reason for otherwise illogical behavior- that politics makes for strange bed fellows, and for the most part this would be true of all politicians. But Barack Obamas fellows stretch the definition of strange into a suspicious array of radical militants that are not strange at all, they are just plain evil. 

I think it was back in the 80’s when Robin Williams had an HBO Special every other month and on one of those specials he made a satirical point that has stuck with me since.  Williams was pointing out that some things can never be defended and he masterfully tied it to anyone that would defend what Hitler did.  His point was this… That some people will try to defend what Hitler did by pointing out something good that he did for his people.  His response to those idiots was yeah “At least he made the trains run on time”.  

Today, with all the questionable associations Barack Obama has obtained in his very limited time as a public servant can we not say as a nation that we are not willing to overlook the recent documented questionable aspect of his character.  Can we not give a pass -logical or not- for choices made by  Barack Obama.  Many have given in to their own personal version of the trains running on time.  I wounder if they will be the ones pointing fingers at Barak Obama when things come full circle.  I also want you to realize the fact that Barack Obama has shown the inability to pledge to our nations flag.

I know we are a country that was born out of revolution and in as such it is part of national DNA to redefine how we live in dramatic moves.   Ask yourself this… If a person we know has one friend that comes from militant background, we would say, OK poor judgment… but if it were three or more… are we really willing to say oh well, I guess he just has poor judgment.  Barack Obama… “At least he made the trains run on time” so we can have change our change for change sake. For me that just does not cut it or make good sense.
